stardew valley!

if you have not played stardew. please please please go do so! its only like 15 bucks for.... easily 100+ hours of engaging gameplay! its a farming simulator + befriending people simulator! if you've seen people talking highly of it please know they are not exaggerating! it's a genuinely great game with a LOT of replay value. alas i haven't played in a while as i have a tendency to play it 12 hours a day for two weeks and then get burnt out on it for the next three months but! otherwise i love it SO much! (my favorite marriage candidates are sebastian and abigail. in case you wanted to know. favorite non-marriagable is leo. bird boy solidarity)

death game visual novel! as indicated by the title there is a loooooot of death/gore! visual novel about a death game based on the contestants' votes, with a lot of fun plot twists along the way! the characters are all very loveable (perhaps not a virtue in a game centering around their painful deaths) and the plot is GREAT! each chapter is split into two parts, the newest one being chapter 3 part 1! it's not finished yet, but it's still for sure worthy of playing for the low low price of free (for those interested. my favorite character is sou (pathetic little man <333333) and i have chosen my route accordingly. i have THOUGHTS on the route names. that i will not share here for spoiler purposes. yknow.)

i'm sorry it had to be included in the list. i'm not into it anymore (lie) but like. it hasn't left me you know. it never will. if you wish to start a discussion group hit me up. if you haven't read it! disregard all the rest of that :) nothing to worry about go read homestuck. it'll be fun i promise :) (unironically if you can look past the fact it's homestuck it's not a bad webcomic. like if it exists in a vaccuum it's pretty good. it left me a changed person but if you're into rigorous organization systems, overzealous categorization, oddly well developed characters, insane levels of bullshit symbolism, and batshit convoluted plot. it's like. a fun read.)

scott pilgrim (comics/movie about what if society was video game?)
a short hike (cute little crunchy game about a bird who goes on a hike! GOOD flight mechanics)
celeste (VERY good to play platformer! there's a plot but i missed most of it)
omori (plot ran a lil long. didn't finish it. still pretty cute game!)
promised neverland (watched s1 of the anime, loved it, never watched/read more)
diaries of a spaceport janitor (pick up trash in space! be trans! never know if there's an ending!)
chess 2 by ac sherman (does chess 1 not have enough insane mechanics for you? try chess 2!)
5d chess with multiverse time travel (the name says it all)
co-open (cute game about going shopping! hour or two of gameplay but quite sweet)
